Because pigment is used as a means of travel for the laser, generally, the procedure works best on people with black or brown hair of medium density. This is also why it is difficult to remove white hair using light and lasers.
Every human hair goes through four different growth stages: anagen, catagen, telogen and exogen. As we mentioned, best results are achieved on people with dark hair of medium to thick density due to the way the laser works. Those with very dark skin may also find it unsuitable for the same reason.
Unless you are on some certain medications, have a medical condition or are looking to have the procedure carried out on a heavily-tattooed area then there really is nothing stopping you.

We do ask that you do. You won't need to do too much, simply shave the area at least 24 hours beforehand. Go for manual razors instead of electric ones as they will cut the hair much closer to the skin.
Please don't wax, pluck or tweeze the area, only shave. The laser needs a hair follicle to remove and if it's already gone it will be sad that it can't do its thing.
You'll also need to clean off any makeup, fake tan, lotion, sun cream and deodorant from the part of the body that is being treated. This is because the laser is a pigment-reliant heat source and could burn you if you give it any other pigment besides that from the unwanted hair.
Please also keep the area that is going to be treated out of heavy sun four weeks before the treatment.
Not in the slightest. Our smart diode machine (remember him?) is gentle and does not irritate, inflame or damage the skin. You will actually feel a cool sensation on the skin during our IPL procedures which is comfortable and pleasant.

For the very best results, we would suggest keeping away from gyms, saunas and not taking really hot showers. Because the heat stays on your skin for 24 hours, anything that may raise your body temperature higher can make you prone to spots and can lead to a bacteria to build up on the body -- no-one wants that!
