Hello, my name is Charlene and I am the owner and founder of Moon Aesthetics.
A bit about me...
As a child, I always wanted to be a doctor and I always loved watching films that had Drs in; I was obsessed!
I grew up in Essex then studied anatomy and physiology in London. Here I found my passion in dermal fillers and from then I knew this was what I wanted to do for the foreseeable. I was initially trained in the renowned Harley Street clinic and then developed further skills by undertaking courses around the UK and across the world.
I also love to travel around the world and meet new people. In the past I've visited Tanzania to do some charity work. I helped with the building of schools, water sanitation facilities and rocket stoves. Another joy of travelling is that it gives me the opportunity to learn new skills in aesthetics. Learning new skills is vital for me; my belief is that you can never have enough knowledge.
I've found that understanding aesthetics comes naturally to me; I can instinctively identify exactly what would work for someone's face shape and what wouldn't.
Like the jawline, for example. Certain face shapes are not best suited to jawline contour; they can actually make the natural contour less beautiful and more harsh. The same can be said for cheekbones. Different people would need cheekbone treatments in different positions, depending on shape, face and age.
For me, it's all about making the most of your features and enhancing your natural beauty. It doesn't sit right with me to carry out treatments purely for the sake of it. If I didn't feel a certain treatment was the right choice for you, I wouldn't proceed with it.
I also have a very strong eye for the natural Russian lip technique. My very own technique, which I have learnt from many excellent Drs worldwide, has had an incredible impact on my clients' appearances, changing their lip shape in a way that suits them personally. I receive daily texts and emails from my clients telling me how much I've built their confidence with just a bit of filler, and that's why I love my job.
At Moon Aesthetics, it's not just about putting filler in the lips and saying goodbye; it's about changing the lip shape, lifting the lips, creating Cupid's bows or bringing the volume back that we lose as we age. By having an in-depth consultation, I take the time to understand you and your needs so you can get exactly what you're looking for to enhance your natural beauty.
