What is microneedling?

Microneedling is a minimally invasive procedure that uses tiny needles to create temporary puncture wounds on the skin. These small injuries will stimulate collagen production and replace old, damaged tissue cells with new ones! It also stimulates natural healing processes in your body by repairing any damage done to blood vessels or other structures during laser treatment.

At Moon aesthetics, we help our customers get rid of all the imperfections on their skin caused by acne, ageing, and the sun’s harsh UV-rays by utilizing this effective treatment!

Microneedling benefits

The benefits of micro needling are numerous, with the most important being long-lasting results. Unlike laser resurfacing and chemical peelings that require many treatments over a period of months or years to see any significant changes in your skin’s appearance, microneedling can provide you with visible improvements in just one procedure! In addition to this, it is much less expensive than other cosmetic procedures as well as causing significantly
less pain! What more could you ask for?

These benefits are far too many to list, but here is a quick rundown. Some of the most popular benefits include:

  • Reduced wrinkles and lines
  • Increased elasticity and collagen production (which leads to firmer skin)
  • Improved tone and texture as well as redness from sun spots or acne scars!
  • It also helps the absorption rate for other skincare products by opening up pores, which in turn will reduce any whiteheads or blackheads that may have been caused by clogged pores before treatment.

Microneedling has also proven effective at reducing body hair on women due to its ability to stimulate hormones like testosterone which stops hair growth. Microneedling is a good option for people with skin conditions such as psoriasis or eczema. It also improves scarring due to acne or injury and decreases hyperpigmentation (dark spots) caused by broken capillaries.

Microneedling aftercare

It would be best if you avoided using exfoliating products like scrubs when you're healing, as these could cause damage to any new collagen that has been created during treatment. After a microneedling session, make sure to follow all instructions given by your doctor regarding ice packs, medications/painkillers and taking care of the area if there is any bleeding. If necessary, check back with your doctor before using any products containing alcohol, such as perfumes or aftershaves. Also, avoid direct sunlight for 12 hours after treatment, seeing as the skin will be at its most vulnerable and may become more red if exposed to the sun’s UV-rays.

Apply sunscreen every day (even though this may feel counterproductive since the needles will leave small puncture wounds on the surface of your skin). This is important as UV-rays could lead to infection. Also, try applying a topical antibiotic and anti-inflammatory cream for the next few days to reduce any redness or swelling on your skin surface.

Lastly, avoid using acids, retinoids, exfoliants, and anything with benzoyl peroxide as these can often irritate the wounds left by microneedling! The risks of side effects are minimal, but there is potential for bruising or bleeding, which will typically heal within a week without leaving any scars on your skin!
